NFL Players arrest thread

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi received more information from the state attorney’s office involved in the case, and the latest details are awfully disturbing. So, continue to read at your own discretion.

Rickea Jackson told authorities that Pearce encountered her vehicle at a red light, got out of his Lamborghini SUV and tried to enter her vehicle. As Jackson drove away, Pearce followed her vehicle and purposely caused a collision to prevent her from reaching the police station:

“Jackson accelerated away and started driving toward the Doral (Florida) Police Department. Pearce reentered his vehicle and continued following her. During the drive to the police station, Jackson said Pearce “intentionally collided into the rear of her vehicle” with his SUV. As she got to the intersection near the police station, Jackson said Pearce cut her off with his car and when she attempted to back out and get away, he used his car to collide with hers head-on.”

Jackson also told authorities that she recently ended their three-year relationship and blocked his phone number. However, Pearce continued messaging her with another number, even though Jackson had told him to leave her alone.

According to the affidavit, one of the officers on the scene drew their gun and told Pearce to get on the ground. Pearce ignored the order and drove away, leading police on a high-speed chase.

James Pearce Jr.’s vehicle hit one of the officers in the knee as he drove away. Police caught up with Pearce after his vehicle crashed, but the rookie linebacker allegedly “began to resist arrest by tensing his arms and not allowing officers to apprehend him.”

Pearce, who led all NFL rookies with 10.5 sacks this season, was later examined at a local medical center and faces multiple charges, including counts of aggravated stalking and aggravated battery.

More to come.

#Lions CB Terrion Arnold’s name has surfaced in a #Florida court order detailing the orchestration of an armed robbery and kidnapping.
The order stated that the armed robbery and kidnapping were a direct result of “Arnold and his friends” “taking matters into their own hands” after Arnold’s rental home was robbed twice.

The Atlanta Falcons said they are looking into serious allegations against assistant defensive line coach LaTroy Lewis.

“We are aware of allegations regarding LaTroy Lewis,” the team said in a statement. “We are in the process of gathering information and will have no further comment at this time.”

Reporter Justin Spiro shared details of the claims on social media. A woman, who used the name “Jane,” accused Lewis of rape, physical abuse, threats, and coercion when he was an assistant coach at the University of Michigan. Lewis worked there in 2023 and 2024 before taking other jobs.

Lewis, 32, joined the Falcons this month after short coaching jobs at Toledo and UConn. He briefly played in the NFL and has been coaching in college football since 2020.

Jane says she met Lewis on a dating app in July 2024. She claims that after they started talking, his messages became threatening and he asked her for money and expensive items worth about $25,000.

She also shared messages she says he sent her, including ones that read, “I’m going to f*** you up” and “I’d f***ing kill you! Don’t play with me.”

The woman says she met Lewis in person for the first time on Dec. 5, 2024, at Weber’s Inn in Ann Arbor during a work trip. She claims he beat and raped her in the hotel room and says she told him “no” many times. Also, she later took photos to document her injuries.

On Dec. 6, she contacted Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore to report what she says happened. According to her, Moore told her he could not file a report himself and that she would need to report it on her own. She also claims Moore later sent her sexually explicit messages and asked her to perform sexual acts. Moore has not responded for comment.

She says Lewis attacked her again in January 2025 at her apartment in Milford, Michigan. Neighbors called 911 after hearing a disturbance, and police came to the scene. She says she did not tell officers about the alleged abuse at the time because she was afraid of Lewis. She says she again informed Moore.

In February 2026, she reported the alleged rape to Ann Arbor police and asked for a personal protection order.

Lewis declined to comment. The report says he later called her from a hotel in Indianapolis while he was at the NFL Combine with Falcons staff. She told him not to call again and ended the call.

So far, the Falcons have not announced any disciplinary action.
