The Falcons will be playing in Madrid, Spain, in 2026.

The NFL announced today that the Falcons will be one of the participants in the previously announced Madrid game. It is expected to be a Falcons home game, and the Falcons will play eight games in Atlanta. NFC teams have nine home games in 2026.

The Falcons’ opponent has not been announced, but of their nine home opponents this year, the Lions, 49ers and Saints can be ruled out because they already have international games set for this season. Two of the Falcons’ 2026 home opponents, the Bears and Chiefs, have international marketing rights in Spain, so they would be natural choices to play there...

The Cardinals have informed quarterback Kyler Murray of his release, according to multiple reports. The transaction will occur on the first day of the league year March 11.

The Cardinals have attempted to trade Murray.

They owe him $36.8 million guaranteed in 2026, and another $19.5 million in guarantees would have been triggered for 2027 if he were on the roster on March 15.

The Bengals are not using a franchise or transition tag on defensive end Trey Hendrickson and that means Hendrickson will be free to move on to another team as a free agent when the new league year gets underway next week.

The Colts have made a move to ensure quarterback Daniel Jones is in the fold for 2026.

Indianapolis announced on Tuesday that the club has placed the transition tag on Jones before the 4 p.m. ET tagging deadline.

With the transition tag, the Colts have the right to match any offer Jones receives from another team in free agency. If Jones does agree to terms with a team and the Colts decline to match it, then Indianapolis would not be entitled to draft-pick compensation...

Bears center Drew Dalman is walking away from football at the age of 27.

Dalman told the Bears he is retiring, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

A 2021 fourth-round pick of the Falcons, Dalman signed a three-year, $42 million contract with the Bears a year ago. He had a very strong first season in Chicago, and from all indications was a big part of the Bears’ future. Instead, he’s saying goodbye...
