Don't forget to join the "Pickem" https://www.thenflforum.com/pickem/2025-nfl-season-pickem.22/standingsHey guys, been MIA for a bit there. I've been busy with personal issues however all is resolved. It's been a solid grind so far, with the team looking sharper overall, especially on offense. Defense is holding their own, but a few injury niggles to watch.
Who's Lining Up to Start (Based on Camp Buzz and Depth Charts):
Offense:
- QB: J.J. McCarthy (he's the clear starter)
- RB: Aaron Jones (with Jordan Mason splitting carries pretty even, like 50/50 from what coaches are saying)
- FB: C.J. Ham
- WR: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison (suspended obviously ), Jalen Nailor stepping up as WR3
- TE: T.J. Hockenson
- LT: Christian Darrisaw
- LG: Donovan Jackson (rookie looking good)
- C: Ryan Kelly
- RG: Will Fries
- RT: Brian O’Neill
Defense:
- EDGE: Jonathan Greenard, Andrew Van Ginkel (his status is iffy with an unclear injury), Dallas Turner rotating in heavy
- DT: Javon Hargrave, Harrison Phillips
- LB: Blake Cashman, Ivan Pace Jr.
- CB: Byron Murphy Jr., Isaiah Rodgers, Mekhi Blackmon in the mix for CB3
- S: Harrison Smith (still sidelined but expected back soon), Josh Metellus, Theo Jackson
Special Teams: Will Reichard at K, Ryan Wright punting, Andrew DePaola snapping - no changes there.
Injuries: Van Ginkel's banged up, unclear timeline. Harrison Smith's out but nothing major. McCarthy had a minor hammy scare earlier but they're relieved he's pushing through without rest.
Honest Prediction: this team's got the pieces - revamped OL should keep McCarthy upright, and the D under Flores could be sneaky good if the secondary gels. If JJ clicks like he has in camp, I see us at 10-7 or 11-6, sneaking into playoffs and maybe winning a wild card game. But if the rook struggles or injuries hit the trenches again, we're probably staring at 8-9 and missing out. NFC North is brutal, but we're not rebuilding anymore. SKOL anyway, let's see how it shakes out. Need to smoke that NFC North pack![]()

Media hates him for the same reason they hated Tom— he was beating the guy they wanted to be the man.
I don’t know what fucking game anyone was watching where Hurtz was carried by a team but he was a pretty active fucking participant.
If you asked me what team outside my own that’s among the actual favorites, I’m rooting for Jalen to fucking smash media narratives and the Eagles to bury someone I hate in the Super Bowl (basically entire AFC outside New England).
Jalen Hurts is slinging it like a badass, Saquon Barkley can still fuck my sister and A.J. Dillon are a nasty RB duo, while A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith lead the WRs with trade pickup John Metchie III trying not to suck dick as WR3. Dallas Goedert’s locked in at TE, and the O-line (Mailata, Jurgens, Dickerson, Seumalo, Johnson) is a fucking wall. Defense has Haason Reddick and Azeez Ojulari wrecking shit, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis clogging the middle, and Zack Baun with rookie Jihaad Campbell at LB. Quinyon Mitchell’s CB1, but CB2’s a queer-ass mess with Adoree’ Jackson or Jakorian Bennett. Andrew Mukuba’s pushing for safety. Jake Elliott’s money at kicker. Season vibe? 12-5, maybe 13-4, and a legit shot at another ring if the secondary doesn’t bend over. Fuck Dallas.Hey guys, been MIA for a bit there. Could be worse. Being gay is better than being ahead.
Your division has a chance to be very interesting this season, in either the best or worst of ways. Along with the AFCN, its the division I can see the most interesting swings in.
Peyton Manning didn’t own Brady in anything. Every game they ever played in against each other started with a giant graphic showing how Brady was his fucking daddy, with an accompanying monologue from the announce team about how Manning was his bitch. He got that final AFC Championship win against a badly injured Patriot team brought beyond its station by Tom. All Denver had to do, with an all-world defense, was swallow up a fucking slot receiver, and they still almost lost. You and the rest of your fan base are delusional. In fact the most delusional in all the NFL. Peyton OWNED Brady in the playoffs. Brady is 1-3 in AFCCGs against him. It's always the same thing with this fanbase - the losses and bad games don't count. The SB losses to the Giants? Didn't happen because of a lucky helmet catch or drop by Welker. The loss to the colts in the AFCCG in 06? Didn't happen because of the refs or the team got the flu. Tommy's 2-9 playoff record vs Eli, Dak, Tannehill, Sanchez, Plummer, Foles, and Flacco? Don't know what you're talking about! etc.
So your backup team is a team that beat your own team in the SB?
Some count, some don’t. It’s pretty fucking easy to see what happened for the 2007 Patriots. The Giants brought an all-world pass rush against an offensive line that was collapsing, and Brady got his fucking ass beat. Every NFL Films production, every slow-motion rehash, every replay, show the same fucking thing— the Giants cutting through the Patriots line like butter with a four man rush, and body slamming and suplexing Brady all over the fucking field. It's always the same thing with this fanbase - the losses and bad games don't count. Also, why are you shitting on Flacco? Flacco took Peyton out in the playoffs too, and has a similar argument for the Hall of Fame as Eli, albeit likely weaker.
You’re attacking Brady’s post season accolades while throwing around words like “Delusion.”
The 2013 Patriots and 2015 Patriots were in the wake of a murder redlining our offensive investment and throwing it into turmoil, with Weller leaving and Gronk suffering major injury after major injury. Neither of those teams would have been anywhere fucking near the AFC Championship with any quarterback other than Tom Brady.
Nobody cares about 2007 anymore. Brady’s all-world performance against the Legion of Boom, with Butler making up for yet another historic Patriot defensive late-game collapse and a cursed Kearse catch worlds dumber than the any helmet catch by far.
And then a 5th with a Super Bowl comeback performance that will never be matched.
And then a 7th with the shitty ass Bucs. Just playing for that team has elevated them for the rest of their existence and it shows.
