What would be interesting about that pick would've been McCourty probably ends up being cut as a CB assuming Weddle established himself at FS. Since McCourty was flaming out at CB, he'd have no place on the team.

We've had the easiest schedule the past 4 seasons; but we had neither the personnel, coaching nor QBing to take full advantage of it.

That's an interesting point... Dig this: With Weddle already established after two seasons, Bill finds no need to draft Patrick Chung; and when DMac starts flaming-out at CB, he decides to employ a TWO-FS look... Championships won in 2011 & 2017...
I don’t get the impression, based on his social media, that he works hard on his craft. I follow him because he’s boys with Shane Gillis (comedian) and lives in the area. Never anything at the facility, but he’s always out and about. He’s boom or bust in that he booms for one game then busts for four straight. If he actually worked on his route running, he could be a more complete WR.

Oh, I hear you. Just saying Davis isn’t the guy. To be honest, I think a lot of people overrate him for that playoff performance in Arrowhead. They added 3 outside WRs this offseason, one in the draft. They aren't short in numbers. The issue is whether or not they'll be short on talent.
