My pastor had to go away on an emergency (in-law in hospice care), and I am stepping in with a sermon on God's jealousy. Fascinating topic. Godly jealousy is not human jealousy. Completely different Hebrew word used to name God=jealous in the Old Testament. It's better described as zealous disappointment and anger that we would damage ourselves by putting anything above Him. Idolatry.

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
I will vomit you out of my mouth.
