We know so little about angels, but we do know they exist as creations of God. And we know they are amongst us and used by God.
There are two verses folks cite to make the argument that we all have a guardian angel. Both verses refer to angels in a possessive form toward people. The truth:
1. It's all speculation. We won't know until we KNOW.
2. It doesn't really matter. Just fun speculation.
Here are the verses...
When Peter was released from Herod's prison (by an angel of God), he made his way to the home where other believers had been praying for Peter. When the woman told the others she saw Peter, they did not believe her.
But they said to her, "You are beside yourself!"
Yet she kept insisting it was so.
So they said, "It is his angel."
- Acts 12:15
And from Jesus Himself...
"Take heed that you do not despise one of the little ones,
For I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of
My Father who is in heaven."
-Matthew 18:10
