If the price is right I'd do it.. but he's holding out on 21m in the last year of his contract. So what's he want? 30+ million per year, 3 or 4 years? Add the trade compensation and that's a high price to pay. But man adding him to the front 4 would be saweeet!
Maybe something like 3/65/45 guaranteed ... And some NLTBE bonuses?
AI says he wants 30-35 per year, in the range of Myles Garret.. probably more like 3/105/60
Yeah if he was 28-29 maybe, or if he was literally Myles Garrett.
Unfortunately for Patriots fans who had/have interest in him, the reports from Chicago were that he was a pain in the ass, rather than being a help for the rookie QB. And with the Kumbaya requirements of this year's team, he's probably not on the Patriots' board.
He also reportedly only wants to play on the west coast and for a contender.. That severely limits things.. he could be at this point, just holding out till camp cut-downs and injuries which is probably his best option.
