I just started eating beef again after a long hiatus, without it. Anybody else like their burgers medium and can never get a restaurant to cook them properly? i can count on one hand the amount of times a restaurant makes an actual medium burger. I wonder if ordering the medium rare would make it better? i actually prefer it more towards medium rare. But I know restaurants get paranoid with that. Last night it happened again and I usually just give up on it and eat the charcoal briquette. i was going to again last night. But the waitress was insistent. She said you even made sure to indicate that. I will take it to the manager and let them know. And I was like okay, that's fine.As long as it's really medium. She brings it back and of course, it's another charcoal briquette. And it has the wrong cheese on it. She felt terrible, but I did not blame her.Whatsoever, because she went out of her way to try to make it right. If any of you experienced, this is there a secret trick to getting it done right at a restaurant or do you just give up all together and never order a burger when you're at a restaurant?
Since a lot of places have a minimum standard, I usually ask them to make it "as rare as you can". And hockey pucks get returned.
