False Christianity

James 3:1 should be the scariest verse for anyone who speaks from the pulpit or is in a teaching/leadership position in a church.

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

There are so many false teachers either adding to, twisting, or ignoring the Word of God. Based on Scriptures, their punishment will be severe. It's bad enough to condemn yourself because you think you know better than God, but leading others to damnation is the true crime.

I am guessing I wouldn't set foot in half the Protestant churches out there for bastardizing doctrine. And 100% of the Roman churches.

Anyway, I figured this would be a thread to showcase some of "christianity's" greatest abortions.

The Anglican Church is poised to lose tens of millions of members across Africa and Asia following the appointment of Sarah Mullally, 63, as the first woman Archbishop of Canterbury and leader of the Anglican Church. Her appointment comes months after her predecessor, Justin Welby, resigned over his failure to deal with and report sexual abuse in the church.
Far from a conservative, Mullally is a self-described feminist and has passionately fought for women’s ordination across the church. She is pro-choice and has been working to move the church in favor of same-sex acceptance and inclusivity.

The Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (Gafcon), however, will not let this stand. They represent a majority of the 85 million Anglicans worldwide, and in a statement posted to their website, they write in part:...

Anglican Church Poised To Lose 40 Million Members After First Woman Appointed Archbishop of Canterbury

@Dingleberry are you referring to the churches with gay pride signs at the front of their churches and all that bullshit in your original post? Those places are an abomination. Muslims could actually do some good by hitting those places.

Yeah, bud… nobody listens to the Pope anymore. This isn’t the Victorian Era. Want open borders? Why don’t you house “refugees” yourself?

People still listen to the popes. The problem for the Catholic Church is that the the last pope was a disaster, and his successor is already heading down that same path.

I didn’t mean “nobody” in a literal sense. Of course there are retards out there who still listen to the Pope. Look how many retards here voted for Harris last November.

So, in this case, "nobody" just means hundreds of millions of people...

I seriously doubt that. But, let’s play with that idea. Would you say that’s far more or far less than the amount of people who have listened to the Pope since Peter? Feel free to use church attendance stats this year if you wish. Only 29% of Catholics attend mass weekly as of March 2025. That’s pathetic.

A majority of roman catholics live in shit bag 3rd world countries. If they listen to the head pedo, it is meaningless anyway.

It's not really debatable. The numbers are the numbers.

Given how few were there for Peter, just based upon population numbers, it's obviously more.

And I'm not defending U.S. Catholics (or any "western" Catholics, really). I'm just noting that your dismissal of them over numbers runs counter to reality.

I’m not dismissing Catholicism. I grew up through 12 years of school in it and attended church regularly with my family. Baptism, first communion, confirmation, all of it. I know what they were and I know what they are now. What I said was nobody listens to the Pope. For example, if Leo wanted translations strictly censored, which is something the Papacy has done in the past, there would be either backlash or noncompliance. This Pope is a globalist. How many people, worldwide, do you actually think agree with that view? Stick to decrees and condemn wars (violence), dude. That’s what Jesus wanted. And actually TEACH your parishioners the Bible. Stop gate keeping it.

Backlash for some stupid comments isn't the same as the people actually not listening though.

The U.S. is full of fake Catholics, no doubt about that. But the world is not just the U.S., or even Europe. The popes still have a lot of influence. That's why it's so wrong of the popes to weigh in on things that are none of their business (or hypocrisy reining supreme as with examples like immigration/borders).

More than half the roman sheep are in 3rd world dumps of South and Central America.

+

Catholic charities are a left wing slush fund.

=

His "holiness" spouting typical leftist talking points.

The Roman church is a political activist corporation. Jesus is about 10th on their list, if He is even on the list.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with anything you're saying here, but literally nothing you posted either changes the facts or impacts the point was making in response to the "nobody listens" post from above. The popes still wield significant influence, and have literally hundreds of millions of people who pay them heed.

You agree. You're too intelligent not to.

3rd world people essentially are "nobody" in the big political picture.
