What should infuriate Red Sox fans the most is the knowledge of how much better this team could have been with just a few different moves, but those moves were largely precluded because the owner is now all about the money.

I remember watching this on TV38, who by late August was broadcasting all Red Sox home games, even those on non-weekends like this one... Everybody here back then was fired-up for the reunion, including Loooie, who unfortunately was drained by the 7th inning from it all and the Sox went on to lose 8-2 to Angels righty Ed Figueroa
I was actually on leave in England for a cousin's wedding when this game took place, so I didn't even know about it until I returned to the States a few days later... Some big names played in that one...
As bad as the start has been, they're still just 4 games back. This series against the Yankees could lead to a major shift in betting circles.
The whole AL seems kind of ass right now. Yankees have the best record in the league at 13-9. Odd.
