The rookie pitchers for both teams are doing their part
This Red Sox team really could use Anthony, Mayer and/or Devers right now...
Early walked Stanton, and that got things rolling. The Yankees are now threatening to put this one away in the 4th

Still hope, though walking Stanton (who's been hot garbage in this series) has been the game changer, IMO, so far.
Sox coming up small in the biggest game of the year. Fuck.

A combination of injuries and bad personnel decisions (GM level, not "in game") did this team in. There's more to it than that, but those two things were the key reasons for falling short.

By the end, they were so decimated by injuries that they were practically fielding nuns from The Little Sisters Of The Poor out there, and they still came within a Durran error from probably winning the series.
Before the season, I figured them as a last place team. So, while I'm disappointed they're not continuing to the next series, I'm pretty ok with the season they had. It was far better than I expected.
A lot of good-to-great moves were made by Breslow, and that really helped the team to get as far as it did. Unfortunately, his bad (and the move by whomever chose to dump Devers for nothing, mid season) moves and non-moves were terrible and, along with the injuries, they were the reason why the team couldn't get any further.
