Regarding home-run power, Yaz got off to a late start: before 1967, he reached 20 only once, with...20, and another season had 19. He hit 11,14,15 & 16 of them otherwise. He was always a good doubles hitter however: even in '66, an otherwise bad year for him (when he probably really started to hear it from fans & writers alike), he led the league. He was a far, Far superior fielder than DiMaggio & Jackson of course; and he was close to being the LF equal to Clemente in RF.
