I was willing to call this recent stretch a dynasty in the interest of avoiding a needless back-and-forth with PM15.


Soft coaches/managers can win titles, but they don't repeat much in most sports, and it makes sense.

Advances in body prep and repair are a big part of what's helped him to do this, and his Brady-like devotion to it has been truly impressive. He's a douche bag, but he's also been an elite/high end NBA player for longer than anyone else has ever managed to do it.

And, you're right that he deserves credit for that.

Damned shame they were so banged-up vs the Fakers in the finals. With a little better luck, a couple of smarter draft picks, Len Bias not dying, and McHale's foot being PROPERLY treated, that series goes the other way.
