Mac Jones traded to Jaguars

Good trade for the Jags. Mac is a better back-up than Beathard. He might be able to rehab his career and, if Jacksonville doesn’t make an attempt to put an OL in front of Lawrence, he could see some real playing time in an offense that’s friendly for his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses.

Not a great trade for the Pats. Terrible ROI. The 6th round pick screams, “just get the hell out of the building.” He was never my favorite. The crying, easily losing his temper and letting it impact the next play, etc. But we didn’t do him any favors here.

Shame it didn't work out. Both sides to blame the team for not developing him and Mac for lacking that dawg mentality

In all seriousness, it's a great trade for Jax. Mac is best fit to be a tennis pro at local country club. But being an effective game manager backup QB seems to be his best fit in the NFL.

He will be good to keep the ship afloat for a game or two when the inevitable injury sidelines Fabio.

I thought I was the only one that got that vibe from the day he was drafted. He always struck me as a spoiled rich kid hanging out at the country club.

It's amazing how the majority of the board think he sucks now. They blame him for Bill's departure.

I always get a kick out of that.
They have no clue what is going on. They’re elderly and confused.

As you pointed out long ago, the board is going to age out and there will only be old codgers left. The younger generation aren't seeking out message boards and would rather do drive by's on YouTube, X, Reddit, etc.

We’ve gotten a lot of quality members that way. Younger, less rigid.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand - Kraft just showed that Mac wasn’t his guy. One of the bigger talking points was Kraft choosing Mac over Bill. That one’s been blown to hell.

The latest talking point at Patsfans was Kraft forced Bill to take Mac in 2021. Unreal.

hmm not sure im a huge fan of this if it was only for a 6th rounder

even if we drafted one of the top QB prospects in draft, Mac would still be a solid backup on his rookie deal and if he left for free agency and got a decent contract from someone, we would have probably got better than a 6th as a comp pick

i guess they just want to move on from him and start fresh, because a 6th rounder is virtually worthless in trade value
