The Jewish religious leaders were mostly pure garbage. They knew the Scriptures but they didn't KNOW the Scriptures. Listen to how Jesus described them. Who do you picture when reading it? Don't forget. Satan knows the word of God better than any of us.
My visions when reading it:
1. Roman "church" hierarchy from bishops up. All of them. Many of the pedos in collars too.
2. Evangelical stadium motivational speakers.
“Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes,
love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues,
and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses,
and for a pretense make long prayers.
These will receive greater condemnation.”
